Plexiglas shields make sense and I am kinda surprised banks
haven't made it a standard feature. I guess there are enough banks out their with the flat open counter at the teller area and banks don't want to spend the kind of money required to reconfigure the teller counter.
Once it becomes a standard feature, then it will be interesting to see how long it takes the criminals to up their game by using stronger weapons. After all the Plexiglas is basically a deterrent that will prevent robberies where the robber uses a gun (handgun or shotgun) to commit the crime.
